What does a furnished rental home in Germany look like? We are in a village with easy access to the bi-weekly farmers market, grocery stores, parks, and public transportation to both work and all areas of Stuttgart. Most vehicle traffic routes around it, not much driving through town, and some of that is farm tractors!

It’s easy to know where your food comes from in Europe. The grocery stores must label produce with country of origin. The plethora of markets, butcher shops and bakeries lends to very easy farm-to-table, both at home and in the restaurants. Farm to Table is a way of life in Europe.

The German Village of Esslingen
Esslingen is a very sweet German village in wine country on the Neckar River, just a one-hour trip on two city trains from Stuttgart. From the Esslingen train station, it’s an easy 5-minute walk into their main square. This is a very historic village, developed around 1000 BC and a market town since the 800’s.

European Markets
We love visiting European Farmers Markets at home in Germany and on our travels around Europe. We are constantly surprised by how amazing the produce tastes here in Germany.
