travels of 2023
One of our favorite things about 2023 was the opportunity to meet up with both family, and old and new friends, during our travels. Our adventures took us to 23 destinations, 3 continents, and 21 different countries. The people, the foods, and the experiences are gifts that we will always treasure.
We’re looking forward to new adventures in 2024.
The magic in new beginnings is truly the most powerful of them all.

Season's Greetings
We are grateful for our current life of living in Germany, and the opportunities to travel around Europe and North Africa. The Grain and Grape is our travel diary, helping us to capture our memories. And we hope it also helps all of you in planning your trips, or just being inspired to travel.
2024 will bring the Summer Olympics in Paris, and we will be cheering on the USA athletes. Boxing and Wrestling are sports near and dear to our hearts, and we appreciate the dedication of all of the athletes we know.
2024 also will see Germany hosting the EUFA Championships over June and July. We've put in to the ticket lottery, so fingers crossed that we might "win" a few. Regardless, we'll look forward to visiting the Fan Zones in Stuttgart, and the excitement of the sport.
We remain "passport ready" and have our travels planned well into 2024. Checking off a list of destinations, and even dreaming of another camper van trip, keeps us inspired. Cheers to one and all for a fun and healthy 2024!
