In March, we moved into a new apartment in Germany, in an area of Stuttgart where many expats live. Apartments can be hard to find, and we feel super lucky to have such a lovely one available when we were looking with Agent Home. It is in an excellent location, right off the main square in a small town full of restaurants and shops.
The apartment is small at about 600 square feet, but also a very modern, airy, and sunny space. It’s on the ground floor, and also includes a patio and some grass and garden space. Our last apartment was a lovely refurbished one, in a house built in 1910. This one is in a new apartment building, built in 2020.

Even though we are right at the edge of the square, it is quiet, as our building is tucked back off the street. We reach our front door by going through a shrubbery maze, with automatic lights springing on every few feet. It’s quite fun to walk through.😊

We love how open the space is, with lots of big windows. Some of the windows even have screens in them! This is so rare in Europe, and will be a game-changer for catching a breeze without the bugs in the warmer weather.

The lovely patio means we can grill out, and we’ll enjoy some coffee mornings and wine-down evenings here. Our landlord has left us with a robot lawnmower, so that will be a new adventure to try!

Another wonderful feature is that we have an underground parking spot for Rocky the Mini.
It’s a 1 minute walk to the Market at the Square, held each Saturday and Wednesday.

A 15 minute walk through town brings us to the countryside, and just a bit further, to Rob’s work.

And as a total bonus, for the first time in years, we’re walking distance from an Irish Pub. We love the Perfect Pints, excellent food, and most of all, the genuine friendliness of The Auld Rogue. ☘️

Cheers!
